Welcome to a very special Three Part edition of The Sounds of Snares! My friend Chris made the drive out to visit me and brought Three very special snare drums with him for me to try out and for you to learn about! Each one has an amazing story behind it and here we are diving into each one individually! In the first episode, we also get to meet my special guest and hear all about him. Then we dive into the snare drum information and of course he then lets me take it out for a test drive!!

In our first episode, we dive into the Dynamicx VTanium snare drum made by Black Swamp Percussion! It’s a 1mm Titanium snare drum wrapped with a true Zebrawood veneer. This drum is absolutely beautiful and sounds amazing! Using waterjet cutting and laser precise welding, this shell is incredible! And let me tell you, they did not fail to make sure every small detail was perfect! From the finish, to the vent hole, this snare is flawless. The wood hoops are a wonderful upgrade to this snare. Really brings out the tones and rim clicks are crisp and sharp. Only other way to get such a sound are products like XGroove by XPercussion. So lets get to learning and then lets hear how it plays!!
