We recently ventured to the Spero River Wilderness on the West Coast of Tasmania. Since we had to carry our pack raft and associated gear which adds another 6kg, weight of the other items , such as the tent, was crucial. As it turned out I started with 26kgs, which wasn't too bad.
This is the first long trip for the Durston XMid Pro 2 that I have owned since late last year.
In short the low weight of the tent outweighs ( no pun intended) the condensation that accumulates in one skinned tent in Tasmanian conditions..
