Driving Through Coloma A Montana Ghost Town – near Garnet and Missoula, Montana Mt.

Gold, silver, lead, and zinc were pulled out of the Mammoth mine near Coloma between 1895 and 1908. Daily stagecoach service (a full day's ride) was set up between Coloma and Bearmouth to the south. Unfortunately, the mines were not profitable. Operations closed down forcing miners of Coloma to find work elsewhere.
