My 3200w starting generator would not start my 15,000 btu A/C. It would trip the surge protector when the A/C would kick on. I bought that particular model because the company stated on their website and company videos that it would start and run a 15,000 btu A/C. I called the seller and the manufacturer of the generator who recommended a hard start capacitor. I emailed Dometic with my model and serial #'s and they gave me the part # I needed. I bought the part on Amazon, $49.99, Dometic just gave me the right part number. I installed it today and it is starting the A/C.
