In this video, we show you a technique to improve your dog's body awareness and mobility by stretching out their neck and spine. I learned this exercise from my friend and excellent dog trainer, Forrest Micke, in his online course titled "Heeler's Toolbox" on Leerburg Online University. We demonstrate the center position dog training method, which involves putting your dog in the down position between your legs and then luring them to stretch their neck and spine around your leg to get a reward. By practicing this exercise on both sides, you can help your dog improve their range of motion and overall body awareness. This is a great exercise for all dogs, especially those with limited mobility or older dogs who may need some extra help staying active and healthy.
