Steve Cox has been interested in Neapolitan Mastiffs for the past 20 years and has 3035 dogs at his show kennels in Norfolk. He shows competitively both here and abroad. The breed has been around for thousands of years going back to when it was a fighting dog in ancient Rome although it is now more of a loving gentle giant. Ironically, for such a big, heavy dog, it actually has a lot in common with big cats.
