Bipolar Disorder can be an extremely crippling condition. It’s often misrepresented by the media as a constant manic state but so often the disease is characterised by a grinding persistent depressive state with infrequent episodes of mania. In this video we analyse an actor portraying the depressive state. We talk about some of the signs of depression (following the SIGECAPS mnemonic) and we look at how they are expressed in the interview.
