Trying to give my cat backyard freedom but he insists on jumping to the roof and escaping. I am installing homemade Coyote rollers on top of my deck railing. You can also do this on top of a fence using the 4x4 posts or on the top side of the fence, which is great for keeping dogs in or out. I recommend doing 34’ length so it will spin better. Tools needed for one section of Coyote Roller: 4 #10 x 1” flathead screws. 2 4” L Brackets. 2 light duty 3/16” clips. Vinyl coated cable 3/32” in desired length plus at least 1’ extra. 1” PVC pipe in desired length. 3” PVC pipe in desired length. Wire cutters. Screwdriver. Socket wrench. Table saw or hacksaw. Pliers. Drill. This has kept my cat off the roof. I hope this works for you!
