This episode shows how to build a DIY concrete bench from a reclaimed wood beam and a GFRC concrete base. The reclaimed wood is stabilized with epoxy resin.

This DIY reclaimed wood bench with GFRC concrete base could also be used as a concrete coffee table. I’m really happy with the shape of the concrete base, which inlays with a cutout in the reclaimed wood beam. I think the white epoxy resin filling the crack in the wood beam is a perfect complement to the dark concrete base. The concrete is stained black with India ink, and then sealed with an acrylic concrete sealer. The woodworking skills required to cut the cavity in the reclaimed beam are suprisingly DIYfriendly.
