We’d like to ask for your help in finding Diesel his own special home. Diesel is a 5 year old Kelpie X Border Collie. He’s a very sweet, mature, low maintenance companion.

We’d very much like to highlight the low maintenance trait because most people feel the working breeds are a little too much in terms of exercise requirements. This is true for Diesel, he does very much love to run A LOT, but he doesn’t need for you to run with him. If you’ve got the space, you need only open the door and he’ll be off very happy with a solo run. He’ll be very happy to check in at some time, but he’d also be very content to do his own thing until you come home at the end of the day and get all the love and catch up then.

He’s not needy or demanding. But he has requested a home that is just a little less crowded than the foster home he’s currently in. He’d be happy to live in a family with another dog, or 2 or 3 or even no other dogs … but 20 has just been a little too many for his liking. Plus more than half of them are young whipper snappers. He’s a mature working boy who’d appreciate a little less chaos thank you.

Diesel knows his basic commands. He’s very respectful. Space is what he’s looking for. A few birds flying over head and he’d be in heaven.
