Now that 2022 is behind us, we’re looking back at our real houseboat budget to see how well we did budgeting and spending our money when it comes to annual houseboat expenses. Did we spend too much money on gas with gas prices rising high on Lake Lanier? Did anything change with the houseboat loan, slip fee, houseboat insurance, and property taxes during this second year of houseboat ownership? Were we efficient with our utility usage, and did houseboat maintenance costs overwhelm us when things started to break? Are there any areas in our houseboat budget that we spent less than we expected? Were there any unexpected houseboating expenses that broke our bank, and did we have any breathing room for fun houseboat projects?
