Cobras are very famous venomous snakes. They are one of the most venomous snakes in the world. Some cobras can spit their venom. Spitting cobras live in Africa and Asia. Blacknecked spitting cobra (Naja nigricollis) lives in Western and Eastern Africa. This video shows Blacknecked spitting cobra from Kenya. This snake was completely black and was spitting and hooding up. It was rescued by local snake catcher and we released it back into wild savanna. Bite from this snake is deadly without antivenom. But snakes use defence behavior first before biting. Cobra hoods up, opens its mouth and then spits when it feels threatened.
