Living in San Antonio and moving during the height of the Pandemic forced me to find ways to enjoy the outdoors and that’s when I discovered all the Texas State Parks had to offer. For only an hour and 30mins from San Antonio is a gem that offers swimming, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities that are family and dogfriendly called Garner State Park. There are so many swimming spots that even on a busy day you can still enjoy a quiet day just getting cooled off from the hot summers of Texas.
