Choke Canyon State Park | South Texas State Park | Calliham TX

This week, we take you to a state park in the South Texas Plains, a park with a balance of a natural environment in brush country with a wide variety of birds and some of the most active wildlife we've come across in any park, but also a park with a focus on sports and active living.

This was our first visit to Choke Canyon State Park and the park surprised us in so many ways. We spent an entire week relaxing and enjoying all that Choke Canyon has to offer. We look forward to our next visit.

Choke Canyon State Park is located in South Texas halfway between Corpus Christi and San Antonio between the towns of Three Rivers and Tilden. This Texas State Park offers RV camping, tent camping and shelter cabins on the Choke Canyon Reservoir.
