Ingredients:
1 large Sweet onion
1⁄2 cup Plain unsweetened almond milk
1⁄2 Tbsp lemon juice(or vinegar), to make buttermilk
1 large Egg
1 tsp Hot sauce
1⁄2 cup Allpurpose flour
1 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp Smoked paprika
1⁄2 tsp Granulated garlic
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1 Tbsp Olive oil

In a small bowl, whisk together milk and lemon juice. Let sit at least 5 minutes. In a shallow bowl, Add flour, granulated garlic, paprika, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
Once milk has sat for at least 5 minutes, pour in another shallow bow and add in egg and hot sauce and whisk. Then add in 1/3 cup of the flour mixture and whisk until smooth. In a third bowl, add Panko bread crumbs.
Trim ends from onion and remove the outer peel. Cut onion into rings about ½inch thick. Separate into rings. Dip onion rings, one at a time in the flour mixture, followed by the egg/milk/flour mixture, and finally dipping in the panko bread crumbs. Repeat this process with the remaining onion rings. Preheat air fryer to 385°F for at least 3 minutes. Spritz air fryer tray with olive oil and add onion rings in a single layer. Spritz rings with olive oil. Cook for 79 minutes, flipping rings halfway through. Repeat this step with remaining onion rings. If you want to keep onion rings warm between batches, you can place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet in the oven at 200°F. Oven instructions: Lay coated rings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spritz with olive oil and bake for 15 minutes. Flip and bake until crispy, an additional 10 minutes or so more.
