Experiment with stencils, acrylic and canvas to create unique paintings

Painting with stencils is easy and the result will be outstanding. You can select any stencil size or pattern, choose color for details and background color completely freely. Choose to paint one, several of the same or several different ones that you set up in series. The paintings will become unique wall decorations that can decorate a wall that might otherwise be difficult to find another motif for. Freedom and imagination know no boundaries and this video shows how easy it is to create a gold colored pattern on a blue background. Imagine doing 3 similar motifs and putting up as a series or using text stencils to create words of wisdom with your favorite colors. Personal and unique just as art should be.

This video is for those who want to paint using a stencil with acrylic on canvas.

To paint with stencils and acrylic paint you need this:
Canvas
Acrylic paint
Brush
Sponges
Roller

Read our step by step guide on how we did in this painting tip below.

1) Paint the background in the color you want. We chose to paint 2 different shades to get some depth in the board. Sara used a tablecloth and a roller with 50mm width to get a smooth result. Allow the background to dry thoroughly.

2) Measure and mark where you want the stencil to fit. Select the stencil you want and spray on the removable glue.

3) Choose the color for the stencil pattern and paint. Sara painted with both bronze and gold to get some shifts in the pattern. She painted wet on wet so the shades would blend properly. We used a foam brush Stöppel to dip in extra gold color throughout the pattern.

4) Remove the stencil while the color is wet and use a brush or contour color to enhance the details.
