Concrete King tides (epic surfskating spots)

Re uploading this because it got deleted off the surfskate love channel.
This video really marked a new era of pushing myself to try bigger terrain on a surfskate. The term King tide is commonly used to refer to some of the biggest tides and waves that occur on the oregon coast. I was always desperate to skimboard the backwash siders off the jetty by my house. The problem was that in the winter they only formed on the largest and most dangerous tides. I remember on my last attempt I went for a wave and quickly regretted it. I ran towards the wave and hesitated, but realized that it would drown the beach and explode into the large boulders that lined the beach. So I went for it. I jumped over the incoming wave and threw my skimboard down as the wave exploded off the jetty and created a backwash wave running perpedicular to the beach. I was on it rode just far enough to be safely away from the rocks. What was the entrance to the beach was now about 7 feet of water and I struggled to keep my head above water while also dodging floating logs. The water eventually drained back out to the ocean and I walked off the beach, planning to never even think about trying that again. Long story short, The passion for chasing these rare skim boarding waves is the same passion I use to push myself surf skating. The desire to feel like Im skim boarding a wave is the force that has pushed me to do things on my surfskate, that haven't really been done before. The same force puts me in some pretty dangerous situations sometimes.

Anyways, Here's a video of me charging the biggest concrete waves I could find, as I travel across the country with my little family❤.
