People ask me a lot of questions about my dog kennel and why I choose to build a concrete floor instead of a dirt floor . One of the biggest Improvements I have seen is in the amount of ticks and fleas I see on the dogs . The concrete floor doesn't provide as many hiding places for those types of parasites. I have seen some really bad tick seasons before . I know I will be asked this question . How much did I spend ? It cost me approximately $3000.00 dollars for everything . Forms , concrete ,gravel , dogs wire ,fencing ,lights, water, lumber ,Tin .All the labor was provided by me . I did have a couple of people volunteer to help pour the concrete .
It is expensive but well worth the money .
