CAUTION: ADULT LANGUAGE

This will be the last of the straight forward, boring scam calls. This call lasted over an hour but was condensed down to 25 minutes. We stuck it out to try and understand the end goal of the scam. The scam is quite simple. Purchase $2,000 in Google Play gift cards. The story is quite complex and is used to both confuse and build trust with the victim.

I was told repeatedly throughout the call that several staff members at Shoppers Drug Mart in Spruce Grove, Alberta were selling my personal information so I could not trust anyone once inside the store. Most of the call was spent either trying to scare me about the charges or coach me on what to say once inside Shoppers Drug Mart.
