We found a broken window when we checked on our 5th wheel travel trailer during the COVID19 quarantine. Because all area glass repair shops were closed (even the emergency lines), we decided to take on the temporary repair ourselves and managed to complete the project in a single afternoon for under $70.
Watch our 15 minute DIY fix for torn slide out awning cover here: • Torn RV Slide Awning Cover 15 Minute ...
Project sequence:
1) bought a 30" x 36" piece of glass from Lowes
2) had Lowes cut it down to 25" x 26 7/8"
3) ground curved corners into the glass pane with a grinder and flap wheel
4) applied automotive window tint to match existing windows
5) installed glass and seals
