Cleaning uPVC window frames The easiest solution DIY
Cleaning uPVC window frames is not that easy when they have been stained by the black residue from the rubber seals or just weathering marks. Having tried a few different chemicals, by far the best results are obtained with paint thinner, specifically "2k fast paint thinner" from the local spray paint shop. Or see the link at the top for mail order.

It contains xylene so protect yourself from skin contact and inhalation, with gloves and preferably a mask that absorbs the vapours. It is highly flammable so don't use near flames, smoke and only use outdoors. No recommendation is given or implied and responsibility for consequences lies with the user.

Take note of all safety notices that may come with the product such as:
