Today we have the 1979 Chevrolet C10 long bed to short bed conversion. In this episode we show you how to cut down the bed. Previously we had removed 6 inches from the end of the bed and today we will remove 14 inches from the front side. This project has gone on much longer than we anticipated. We’ve had several projects interrupt this project. We complete the bed shortening and mount it back on the frame of the truck. Although it is only mounted temporarily. We will shorten the frame on this track in the near future. Once I get that done will have a completed 79 C10 short bed. We wanted to salvage the original bed and keep the patina of that bed.
