It's another stunning day in New Zealand exploring some of West Auckland. We'd been told about the 2 best Auckland Waterfalls (well, in this region anyway) and chucked into maps Karekare falls, followed by Kitekite falls. If you've got a recommendation for Auckland waterfalls let us know in the comments please :)

The Karekare falls walk is more like a little meander, it's a whopping 5 minute walk to the falls and it's worth every step. The Karekare falls are epic and remind us a lot of Bali actually. Like a lot of our hikes, walks and nature stops in New Zealand it's a great place for a picnic.

Sadly things didn't go to plan from that point on. Though we did make it to the Piha beach lookout point, we weren't able to head to the Kitekite falls walk... watch along and you'll see why :(
