There are numerous videos out there describing how to perform a DIY service on the ZF 8HP 8speed automatic transmission, so in this video we see how hard it really is by using my 2017 BMW 340i as a case study. Variations of the ZF 8HP are used in many modern vehicles from numerous manufacturers ranging from Alfa to Jaguar and many in between. BMW claims the fluid will last the lifetime of the vehicle, but ZF says otherwise. Let's see if it was really necessary!
