Afterall it is, arguably, the most prestigious and most versatile designation for all accountants.

We go through the benefits of getting a CPA vs CFA in the video. In summary, for most people, CPA is the most sought after qualification because it is the most well known, and also is applicable to all accounting jobs you may take later in your career. The CPA also gives you statutory rights to sign audit report, and as an external auditor, this is a musthave as you promote beyond the manager level.

The benefit of CFA is that it is the most relevant qualification in finance and investment. For those aspire to become fund managers and securities analysts, this title is almost a musthave.

In terms of fees, CFA and CPA cost about the same. This is especially the case when taken into account the review materials. In terms of maintaining the qualification, the cost should be similar.
