Hello everyone,

Thank you for clicking on this video. While this video is unlike my previous videos, it also isn't. Today, I am using my voice and platform to call for a ceasefire in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories of the West Bank and Gaza.

In the past 2 months I've seen things I never thought I would see on social media, from ultraviolence to semantic debates over chants and calls for freedom. While this conflict is not new, it has been renewed since October 7th.

My partner is Palestinian, which is why I feel compelled to call for a ceasefire publicly. This video may do nothing, or it may do something, that has yet to be determined.

We need to remain humans first, above religion, above ethnic identities and recognize wrong and right. Two wrongs don't make a right. One atrocity does not justify another. The asymmetry of this situation is intentionally left out of mainstream media's scope and it has fallen onto citizen journalists and social media users to fill in missing the puzzle pieces.

Humanity must be restored or we risk being pulled further into the chaos of a world war.

That is the goal of this video, to rehumanize the Palestinian people, who have been dehumanized unlike anything I've ever seen before, except for post 9/11 islamophobia and antiArab racism. Israelis and Palestinians deserve to have peace, but peace cannot be achieved through the means we are seeing. And a symmetry needs to be restored.
