Okay let me just explain this video first of all wow this blew up and I made this video 3 years ago I was 10
from a cats perspective the hole in the boards would be something they would have to supervise their young on. the same natural instinct kicks in for "their" young (the young of their master)
So basically the cat thought the holes in the board were threat and (saved him)
