Cat facial twitches / seizure

My cat is 13 years old, and in the last couple years she has started to have these facial twitches. Nothing else seems wrong with her. She tends to do it when she's zoning out or irritated (and she is easily irritated these days). It's almost like a seizure of sorts.

UPDATE!!! Since posting this video, I learned that she had an allergy to grains and fragrances. Since switching her over to a grain free food (Natures Balance Duck and Green Pea formula dry food) and a COMPLETELY unscented clay litter (no masking fragrances or additives), she is SO MUCH HAPPIER, and her twitches are SUPER rare. I used to think that she was just getting grumpy and weird in her old age because she used to growl for no reason, pee just off the edge of her litter box, no matter how high it was, and just kinda sleep all the time.. But I have learned that she was just miserable all the time because of her allergies!

It wasn't until she started having asthma attacks when I suddenly switched her to a corn based litter that I figured out that she has a grain allergy. I switched litters to a clay litter and slowly switched her food over to that grain free food and like a miracle, the asthma attacks stopped. Soon after, I noticed she had symptoms of a bladder infection, so I decided to switch her litter to a 99% dust free clay litter that had ZERO perfumes and additives (many clay litters say they're unscented but they ARENT, and are packed with dust and chemicals). Since switching over these two simple things, she is SO much happier and PLAYFUL again! It's like it took 5 years off her age. AND, my other kitty who I found as a stray (very very sensitive digestive system because of her life before me) has stopped vomiting after she eats. Turns out they were BOTH allergic to grains!

Try the switch! It's kind of expensive but well worth happy kitties. Give it about 2 weeks of mixing their old food with the new food before you switch it entirely to the new food. If they have allergies, their systems are really sensitive right now so a sudden switch could backfire.
