Carhartt vs Dickies Work Pants

Carhartt versus Dickies work pants.
The most common item I buy for work is pants. They tend to wear out quickest, and in fact the search for the best work pants is what led me to start doing these comparisons in the first place.
If I'm going to do some pretty demanding work like cutting up a tree or working with rigid conduit, I like to wear double front work pants. The extra material really makes a difference in longevity since theres basically twice the fabric to wear through, you can almost count on getting double the life out of pants like this. Of course that comes at the expense of a little flexibility and comfort, but it's a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion. But which is best? Does Carhartt remain king of workwear, or will Dickies take the work pants crown?

Reviews of clothing, boots, and accessories for men, along with style advice and life philosophy. I've been working with my hands for my entire life as a mechanic, tow truck driver, and eventually a licensed electrician. Being a blue collar guy, I look for certain elements in a product: is it durable? Is it highquality? Will it perform well over its service life? Whether boots, pants, jackets, or tools I believe it's best to buy once and cry once by getting the best you can afford. With so many options these days, choosing the best product can become a difficult decision, but that's where I come in. Helping you stay stylish, rugged, and handsome.
I don't care where it's made as long as it's made well, and allows you to buy less and buy better.
