On March 28, 2024, Fort Wayne, Indiana Mayor Thomas Henry died peacefully surrounded by family.
His death comes after he went to hospice care the day before as he had been dealing with stage 3 stomach cancer.

Statewide and community leaders are sending their condolences and sharing memories of the late Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry.
On the evening of March 28, 2024, Henry’s family shared the heartbreaking news that he had passed following a medical emergency related to his stomach cancer diagnosis.

On a personal note, from Ava Zinn, creator and Executive Producer of Caprice & Ella:

“Mayor Henry, along with the late Perla Nieto, welcomed me to Fort Wayne in June 2018 and I am still honored that Tom Henry followed in the footsteps from Paul Helmke and made Fort Wayne the city that it is.

He also welcomed my late daughter Samantha and her husband Martin when they arrived in 2016, my late transgender daughter Tiffani, her wife Jenna, and my granddaughter Alisan in April 2019.

Breeanna, Caprice, Ella, Lyssa, Sierra, yours truly, and the Zinn family share the condolences to Mayor Tom Henry’s family and to all of Fort Wayne.

May God Bless Mayor Tom Henry.”
