Military drill is an excellent way to despook horses in many ways. First they learn to work together in a big group. With horses coming at them from all directions many of the spooks horses have go away. It is great for warm up before starting obstacle practice, they are more patient when they are warmed up. This is done at a walk and is not like other types of competitive drill groups, no complicated fancy moves. Police use this type of drill to train their horses.
