Each month The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (BBRF) hosts a Meet the Scientist Webinar featuring a researcher discussing the latest findings related to mental illness.

In May 2017, BBRF featured the research of Dr. D. Bradford Reich of McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He presented BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER: DIAGNOSIS, COURSE, AND TREATMENT.

Dr. Reich briefly reviews the history of the concept of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), the symptoms associated with this disorder, and how these symptoms may change over time. In addition, he presents some of the theories of how patients develop BPD and some of the treatments shown to be effective for borderline patients.
