The goal of the Fine Tuning Your Asset Allocation video is to help investors determine the best combination of equities and fixed income asset classes.

Paul started the video by reviewing Table B1 https://irp.cdnwebsite.com/6b78c197/.... This table shows the annual return of the S&P 500, as the equity portfolio to combine with short term and intermediate term bond funds. If an investor has added bonds to the portfolio it is assumed the bonds are going to reduce both risk and return. The table also shows the worst 6, 12, 36 and 60 returns with many combinations of equities and fixed income. It also shows the biggest drawdown for each combination.

He then compares the same risk and return results using the U.S. 2 Fund Portfolio (50/50 S&P 500 and small cap value). https://irp.cdnwebsite.com/6b78c197/...
