The inner thigh muscles consist of the medial hamstrings and the adductors (groin). They are often tight and tender due to the many movement roles they are involved in.⁣

This video lays out a few strategies to help decrease the tone in these muscles.⁣

# ( )⁣
1⃣Prop foot on chair/stool with knee at about 45` to torso. Turn the foot out.⁣
2⃣Hinge through the hips and lean forward.⁣
Slightly push the knee backwards with your elbow.⁣
3⃣Rotate the pelvis away as tolerated.⁣

# ( )⁣
1⃣Prop foot on chair but with knee straight.⁣
2⃣Hinge through hips and lean forward.⁣
3⃣Plantarflex and evert the ankle (push toes down and away).⁣
4⃣Reach for the floor as tolerated.⁣

This is a great way to stretch the and muscles.⁣

Make sure to avoid a pinch in the hips. DO NOT over stretch or stretch too often.
