So to reach oirase Gorge I take shinkansen from Tokyo to Hachinohe station. And Outside of the Hachinohe station, I take a JR Tohoku bus from bus stop no. 1.
From Yakeyama you can get down at any bus stoppage to see the beautiful Oirase Gorge. Most of all prefer to begin their hike from Ishigedo.

The best way to enjoy the beauty of Oirase Gorge is by walking beside the stream. Oirase Gorge is the major tourist attraction of the TowadaHachimantai National Park.

Ashura Stream is the most famous viewpoint of Oirase Gorge. I am wondering to see the Vibrant colors of nature. Photographers love to take pictures of this stream. This stream is named on the God of War Ashura. The stream creates a magnificent view by cascading through rocks and trees. So the water of Lake Towada drains through river Oirase to the Pacific ocean.

You will love to walk in this hiking trail. Because it’s easy to walk in the flat path and while walking you can enjoy dozens of different waterfalls. If you don’t want to walk then You can rent a cycle from Yakeyama and drop it at Nenokuchi which is the end of this hiking trail.
ChisujinoTaki Waterfall means thousand thread waterfall. But I think it’s very thin. I like the rocks and clear water here.
Kumoi no Taki means cloud well waterfall. It is 20 meters high. I like the shape of the waterfalls. You can see three steps are there on top of it and that’s why the water is flowing so fiercely.
The water is chilled. Mosses are covered the whole area and make the place greener.

Lake Towada : For sightseeing, it is best to take the Lake Towada pleasure boat.
Lake Towada is one of the best tourist destinations in Tohoku. The total area of the lake is 60 square kilometers and the maximum depth is 327m. It is the third deepest lake in Japan. It is almost circular in shape.
Lake Towada is known as the “Mystic Lake” as it never freezes during the winter of north Japan.
This place looks beautiful due to these yellow and Red maple trees. Such a lovely place with bright autumn leaves beside the blue lake Towada. Please visit lake Towada and enjoy the autumn fall colors.
