A story which proves that polls can condemn a candidate, but communication will succeed in making him triumph. Between tactics of destroying the adversary and anticipation of voters' expectations, this film portrays expert manipulators, players and directors of modern power. “Becoming President and Staying President” reveals to the public the media underbelly of twenty years of exercise of power in France.
