This is always a beautiful hike up the Specimen Creek trail to Crescent Lake in Yellowstone National Park. You can also hike to Shelf Lake which is just a nice. There are several backcountry camp sites along the way if you wanted to make it a multiday hike. It is a little over 17 miles round trip and about 2,700 vertical feet on the trail.
