Blue death feigning beetles are almost infamously known for their difficulty regarding breeding in captivity. Of course, getting babies isn't the problem: it's rearing them into adults.
I've been researching quite a bit, and am attempting a breeding setup for these animals. If all goes well, a couple new beetles should sprout up by next year. If not I'll still have a nice looking terrarium!
In this episode I'm setting up their layered substrate. The goal is to have all three life stages happy inside the same container!
