DeathFeigning Beetles and Velvet Ants live together in my desert insect vivarium. They make interesting pets! I have Blue DeathFeigning Beetles (Asbolus verrucosus) Black DeathFeigning Beetles (Asbolus laevis) some adesert Clown Beetles (Eleodes sp.) and two Velvet Ants (Dasymutilla bioculata.) DeathFeigning Beetles are so named for their habit of stiffening up and appearing dead when disturbed.
