I heard 2 screams and went out to find the cat holding the rabbit down. I took it away and examined it. He had one old wound on his leg, and the one fresh one on his shoulder. I treated them and released the rabbit where the cat wasn't prowling. He mostly laid on the ground trembling, then after some coaxing he finally started to scurry off. He went down into a small canal and swam across to the woods on the other side.
