A look at the Automatic uncoupling mechanism I will be using on my N Gauge layout Wolverton North.

This system uses the Dapol easi shunt couplings and are opened using permanent magnets attached to a servo. This removes the need for any visable magnest on the layout and unlike electromagnets or solenoids there is no limit on how long the uncoupler can be active for.
