✑ There was nothing but rock, snow, and ice. What a desolate place! I was tired, cold, and hungry, exhausted by the wind steadily blowing snow in my face.
I needed to go a little bit further north. The legend said there was the miraculous place that my father spent his life searching for, disappearing one day, never to be found.
I hated him for leaving us, for leaving the throne in such trying times to my little brother who was only fifteen at that time. Still a child. Like a lamb thrown to the wolves.
I've learned my father's reasons and understood. Now it was me going north with hope in my heart. Hope that I could save my brother and his people from destruction.
I prayed he would forgive me for leaving him too.
