Anthony Bourdains Favourite Berlin spot!

In this episode I visit the late great Anthony Bourdains favourite Berlin food destination. The West Berlin food institution that is Rogacki.

In the West Berlin suburb of Wilmersdorf lies Rogacki. Founded in 1928 this Berlin food institution has been serving the local community the finest German produce and delicacies for almost 100 years. It is third generation family owned and the place where Anthony Bourdain went on his visit to Berlin, a place he loved and relished and so indeed do the locals and so do I. It began as a fish smokery selling eels and smoked fish from the local river spree. Locals would take their catch to Rogacki to smoke and preserve it in their giant smokers. It then began to branch out into selling all manner of local produce and is a place you can visit for lunch a glass of wine fresh caught fish or a plate of locally cured meat. I choose to eat my German favourite Blutwurst. A blood sausage with a light soft interior.
