Another SEAHORSE Micro Swipe! 🐠 INCREDIBLE Ocean Acrylic Pour 🌊 Must-See Results!

Who wants to paint another seahorse with me?! I’ll show you the process from start to finish, using my signature “micro swipe” technique.

The ocean is my happy place, either on the beach watching shorebirds or under the surface scuba diving with tropical fish! So I love creating art that reminds me of the ocean. This painting is a commissioned recreation of one of my other painting videos (video here!    • GORGEOUS Seahorse Painting Using A Mi...  ). The original design was inspired by Danny Young’s incredible artwork!

A micro swipe uses small, flexible swipe tools, as well as silicone oil to make cells. It’s a great way to get a controlled design on a solid colored background!

I created my blue tape template by sketching on kitchen parchment paper, taping over the sketch, and cutting it out. Although it doesn’t always make a perfect seal on the canvas, it really helps guide the application of paint and minimizes mess.

My paint is all mixed with floetrol (about 2:1 floetrol to paint) and thinned water to a mediumthin consistency. Paintmixing video is here!    • Mixing Paint for Acrylic Pouring  ST...
