Nigerians may witness a crash in the price of purchasing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol. This is as recent statements credited to operators of the Dangote Refinery revealed that beginning from May, that’s next month, the refinery will begin the supply of petrol to domestic marketers.
Another effect this will likely have is that Nigeria’s huge dependence on imported petrol would significantly reduce for domestic use.
The refinery began its operations in January and made its first export last month. Just this week, Africa’s largest refinery also began the distribution of diesel and aviation jet fuel to domestic marketers at 1,225 naira per litre causing a drop in the general market price.
