Each year we brave yet another Alaskan winter, this particular season we anticipated new issues knowing we were going to experience the coldest temperatures we have ever seen. We set out to document what problems would arise and without fail things stopped working requiring us to rise to the occasion of each challenge. Although the snowy and frosted landscape can be wickedly beautiful, choosing to lead an off grid lifestyle during Alaska's coldest and darkest months can be physically demanding and psychologically difficult. Nonetheless, we are happy to have pulled through to the other side and we are left eagerly anticipating the arrival of break up season!
