Step into the shoes of elephant carer, Owen as he walks and films in the bush. Thanks to a kind supporter who donated an iPhone to our carer phone drive, we were able to give Owen a phone to film and photograph while in the bush a phone that he is able to use for communication too. Owen has been filming voraciously, managing to keep an eye and ear on the herd while capturing the moments playing out for you. This content not only helps us to share our work and the elephants' lives with you but also gives us insight into the herd behaviour and dynamics and creates a longlasting record of the elephants' lives. It contributes to greater elephant research and our own study of the elephants in our care. We hope it also gives you a glimpse into what beautiful animals elephants are, and why they need to be protected.
