Aliner Roof Condensation Solution

Follow
Average Alice

Condensation inside your camper can be an issue whenever you're boondocking or dispersed camping in the cooler months, especially if you primarily use a propane heater and reserve the RV heater for extreme cold like we do. (Currently our RV heater must manually be turned off if it's very cold and we have to be awake to do it, so overnight use is impractical from a energy conservation standpoint. It does vent the condensation out though!). Unless the condensation comes in contact with your body or clothing it normally can evaporate over the course of the day and isn't a big problem. But our Aliner LXE regularly drips from the peak of the roof in cold climates...with water on us and on our bed and down the ceiling panels to the kitchen area. It's not a flood but very annoying, especially when eating breakfast or cooking dinner. Here's one way to plug the leak, plus catch those unusual rain leaks from the roof peak in certain winddriven rain storms.

We have a Aliner LXE purchased August 2017 with double dormers.

How have you been handling your condensation? Post a comment, thanks!
