The #Akita (秋田) is a #Japanesedogbreed known for its large size and distinctive appearance. Originating from the mountains of northern #Japan, Akitas have a short double coat similar to that of many other northern spitz breeds.

Height: Males typically stand 64–71 cm (25–28 in), while females range from 58–66 cm (23–26 in).
Weight: Male #Akitas weigh between 27–59 kg (60–130 lb), and females weigh 25–45 kg (55–100 lb).
Coat: They have a double coat that comes in various colors, including ginger, red, brindle, white, and sable. Some Akitas also exhibit a genetic variant called urajiro, which features white fur on their ventral areas.
Litter Size: #Akitas typically have 3–12 puppies, with an average of 7–8 per litter.
Life Span : Their average life expectancy is around 10 years
