Airstream solar upgrade DIY with additional solar panels, solar charge controller, and 200ah Battle Born Batteries installed.
We upgrade our solar on our 2020 23 foot Airstream Globetrotter FB Queen. We had 90w factory set up with AGM batteries but it was not enough for our needs. We set out to do this upgrade ourselves with the following goals in mind. Maximize the solar panels, add lithium batteries (relocated) to the interior and improve solar charging systems.
After countless hours of research and assistance from some great folks on the airstream forums we put our plan to action.
We added the following products to achieve this goal.

2 100 AH Battle Born lithium batteries (heated version)
2 90W Zamp Legacy solar panels
1 Victron MPPT solar controler
1 Victron SmartShunt battery monitor (Bluetooth)
1 Victron Lynx Distribution set up as buss bar
2 Blue Sea disconnect switches
2 Blue Sea Waterproof Circuit Breakers
1 WFCO RV Charger Lithium Compatible
4 assorted Mega Fuses

This process took weeks to research and develop the diagram and plans for accuracy and safety.
3 weekends to do the physical install, wiring removal and install, converter swap, and solar panel install, battery removal and relocation.
